Bluebird jewellery

17 Jan

I had an engagement party to attend last night. Charcoal grey dress + cobalt blue shrug = no matching jewellery. So I quickly raided the stash and made some blue bird inspired pieces which matched the colour of the shrug perfectly.

I didn’t really ‘make’ the necklace. Just joined a few bits and pieces together.

Memory wire, cobalt coloured glass beads, some silver beads, a few charms and voila!

Wildflower Necklace – Complete

necklace4

I finished the New England inspired necklace today made from beads I bought in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I was going to add coloured beads to it to remind me of the wildflowers, but in the end I liked it better just green, which is still very reminicent of the NE we saw last month.

While I was at it, I whipped up a few other pieces too:

Descprition:

During out recent trip to the USA, I was completely besotted with two things 1.  all of the beautiful wildflowers occupying every field we seemed to pass 2. how green and lush everything was despite it being summer. I bought some beads while in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and decided to make a New England inspired necklace once I arrive home.
