Happy Birthday!

15 Nov

Today was my friend Esther’s birthday so to celebrate she had a high tea at the Ivanhoe Collectibles Corner Tea Room. I hadn’t been before and was not disappointed!

The food (taken with my phone, excuse the quality)

Bendigo

8 Nov

Last Saturday my sister, hubby and I went on a daytrip to Bendigo. I hadn’t been in years and it was lots of fun. We went on a walk of the historic buildings around town, ambled through the Botanical Gardens, had wine and Cider Tasting at Bress in Harcourt finishing off with a coffee in Trentham. Below are a few snaps, you can see them all on my Flickr if you’d like. I haven’t edited the Flickr ones though so don’t expect anything astounding!

Beer tasting at Fed Square

29 Oct

Oops, I missed yesterday and my excuse will sound really lame, because it’s the same one I used for missing Saturday- we were beer tasting! Well, hubby was beer tasting while I had a lovely chat with our friend’s mum who’s over from NZ.

Shedfest 2009

11 Oct

Yesterday we celebrated my birthday a few days earlier and the gorgeous weather by heading out to Seville for Shedfest. A great day as usual. We took advantage of the free shuttle bus again this year. It worked a little differently to last year- rather than going on a set route it was a hop on hop off scenario which worked out ok, but last year did work better.

Wineries visited:

Wild Cattle Creek – Not many of their wines appeal to me, but they do have a pretty good Pinot Noir.

Kilarra – One of my favourites in the region. Their Rosetta and whites are fabulous.

Whispering Hills – a lovely place with nice views and a really good sparkling.

Seville Hill- Lots of good wines, their Rose is particularly good this year.
